Appearance: Nassau County School District Mental Health Consortium re: Social Media

It was an honor to speak at the Nassau BOCES Mental & Behavioral Health Services Summit today alongside Kara Alaimo, Justine Ang Fonte, and Zach Rausch who works with Jonathan Haidt. We spoke to hundreds of educators, school counselors, other faculty, and parents about how we can work together to help our kids and communities. As a therapist and a mom I consistently see the impact social media has on women and young people and it’s so important to have collaborative conversations about its effects on mental health. This event aims to educate all of us on social media risks and advocates for a return to play-based childhood.
