My Sisters’ Place Event with Nadine Macaluso
May 13, 2026
It’s Period Poverty Awareness Week! I’m so proud of my local elementary schools’ families who helped me collect feminine care products like pads, tampons, and other items to support dozens of women (survivors of gender-based violence) in partnership with My Sisters’ Place 💜 As I discuss in my book MILLENNIAL MENOPAUSE: PREPARING FOR PERIMENOPAUSE, MENOPAUSE, AND LIFE’S NEXT PERIOD, the fact that 1 in 4 people struggle to afford menstrual products is unacceptable. Menstruation (and the menopause transition) are normal parts of health and nothing to be ashamed about, and women deserve access to reproductive healthcare at all phases. I love normalizing conversations about women’s health with my kids and my community, especially for a great cause! 💝
